He is mostly known for promulgating the \u003cbr\u003eTheodosian law code as well for the Theodosian Walls of Constantinople . He also \u003cbr\u003epresided over the outbreak of two great christological controversies .\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSetting a record for longest-reigning Roman emperor at 48 years (equivalent to a \u003cbr\u003edozen U.S. Presidential terms!), Theodosius II set remarkably few other records \u003cbr\u003ein all this time. He was the last emperor to rule both east and west halves, \u003cbr\u003ealbeit briefly, after the death of Honorius and before the puppet emperor \u003cbr\u003eJohannes came onto the scene. As for his own achievements, he wasn't much more \u003cbr\u003ethan a figurehead esconced in his palace. His sister Pulcheria took the active \u003cbr\u003erole in steering the empire.
