Flavius Honorius was born in A.D. 384, the second son of Theodosius I and Aelia Flacilla. He was made Augustus by his father in 393, and two years later, he became emperor of the Western Roman Empire. Honorius was a weak ruler, allowing his generals, ministers, and even his sisters to run the Empire. This was the beginning of the end of the Empire. Honorius died in 423.
