 Coat of arms of the East India Company: 2 lions, St George's cross on the crest and flags, motto on the ribbon "AUSP: REG: SEN: ANG:" ("Auspicio Regis et Senatus Angliae").
 All within a plain rim.
 
 Reverse: Within laurel wreath the value in English '1/12 anna' and Persian 'thalath pai'. Legend in English surrounds within a plain rim.
