1914 "Russians to Polish Brothers" Tribute Silver Medal
It was created to rally Polish support
for the Russian Empire against Germany and Austria-Hungary at the very start of
World War I.
Issuer: The Russian Numismatic Society in Petrograd (St. Petersburg)
Struck by Auguste Jacquart and engraved by G. Malyshev.
Obverse: A Russian figure offering comfort to a Polish figure, with the inscription: "W BRATERSKIEJ ŁĄCZNOŚCI SIŁA" ("In Brotherly Unity is Strength").
Reverse: The Russian Imperial double-headed eagle paired with the Polish White Eagle, inscribed: "РУССКIЕ БРАТЬЯМЪ-ПОЛЯКАМЪ / ROSJANIE – BRACIOM POLAKOM / 1914".
