• The album "Numismatic heritage of Kyrgyzstan" is the first publication of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic in this field. This album presents the coins and banknotes which were found on the territory of Kyrgyzstan historically crossed by the Great Silk Road.
• Thanks to the monetary finds the scientists and explorers are able to restore and expand the knowledge about the life of people lived in the territory of Kyrgyzstan, their wealth and trade relations, development of art and trade, wars, victories and achievements. This album gives you an opportunity to establish ties between different epochs tracking the developments of currencies right up to the modern banknotes and coins of the national currency of the Kyrgyz Republic-Som.
• The greater part of coins presented in this album are preserved in the Numismatic Museum of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the other part preserved in the private collections.
